Hey there.
I'm Dime.
But you knew that.

I'm a creative, graphic designer, motion designer, web designer, occasional tech support for my older coworkers, and a forever city boy.
My arsenal includes Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe InDesign, Canva, Google Workplace Suite, WordPress, and more!
I swear I'll get a professional headshot soon, but for now, here's my cat Tony
Cards on the table, my real name isn't Dime Pierson. Pretty easy for you to guess, I imagine.
My real name is Peter James Brink, although I've been called PJ my whole life. I was born in California, but since I have no memory of it, I tell everyone I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I spent a good chunk of my childhood. I moved to Owensboro, Kentucky, in 2013, where I spent the latter half of my childhood. More recently, I moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky, in late 2025. I now travel an hour to work and an hour back from the two cities. Don't ask about my gas bills.
Dime Pierson was a name I made up when I was around 16 years old. The original idea was to have it be this, like, evil alter ego of mine. Obviously, I outgrew that idea, and I thought it was too cool a name to waste, so I decided to make it sort of like a pen name, unrelated to any "evil alter ego". I attach it to all of my work instead :)
"Dime Pierson" - what exactly does the name mean?
So, there my 16-year-old self was, trying to think of a cool "evil alter ego" name for myself. At the time, my whole visual identity was half red, half black, across everything; half and half was my thing (halves kinda follow me everywhere. I mean, I am half American, half Ecuadorian). And of course, the idea was that there was a "good" half and an "evil" half of me (does this sound like something a 16-year-old would think up yet?)
I started with "demi person", "demi" meaning half. Nah, too on the nose. How can I change "person", since that would make a sort of lame last name? Well, according to Google, "Pierson" is associated with September, which is my birth month! That sounds similar enough to "person".
But wait... isn't "Demi" a girl's name? I'm seeing a few female celebrities named Demi. That won't work. How can I switch that up? Well, if I switch the "i" and the "e", you get "Dime". That sounds kinda unique. Plus, a dime is 10 cents, and 10 was the age that I moved to Owensboro from Michigan, arguably the biggest turning point of my life.
So, "Dime Pierson" should do just fine.
Fast forward to today, I've had a few people ask me if my name has anything to do with dimebags.
Not important. Anyway, as you can tell, I'm really into symbolism and hidden meanings. Always have been. I think that quality is what made design so easy for me to get into. Putting together shapes, colors, text, images, in ways that effectively communicate something to someone, whether overtly or covertly, is what I live for. Sometimes, such as in my personal time, it isn't necessarily about communicating something. Sometimes, it's just about making fan art of something I like. Whatever the case may be, the feeling of gratification I get from a project, especially one that I REALLY get into, is unmatched.
I have been put on this earth to be a creative. I have no doubts that this is my purpose while I'm alive. I want to use creativity to inspire others and to continuously inspire myself.
And in whatever way I can sharpen that creativity while also helping make a difference in my community, I'm game.
